  • LOL-- yeah it is weird looking over all the old pics-- I can literally relive what that thing sounded, smelled, rode, and felt like.

Paul-- yeah, that is a rasta 'tam'.

Pat-- I'm not sure what the failure sticker was for-- probably the exhaust. I think it had a leak.

                I can't agree more Dan...

I'm just unwilling to spend the time ans $$ on the build right now. It is far less time and $$ consuming to keep fixing the marginal parts. I have a Willys that needs resto and a back yard that is going to get landscaped this summer. The Barnacle Build is low priority right now.

Sooo... in the meantime, and for your forum viewing pleasure, look forward to more 'look what I broke' posts. 8-[

                B L, here we come!!! :D

I was looking back... this was just one year ago... how we change our minds! #-o :D

                • Welcome to the world of not have having a jeep Pete. I disassembled mine just like that 8 months ago and still have a long way to go to get the new one done. Take your time, but keep motivated.

                  • Thanks Kevin-

It breaks my heart when I think of all the places that frame and I have been...

It is a strange feeling, a feeling of loss. I keep the thought that it will be a better/stronger rig when it is done.

                              • Leaf springs are all back together-- upgraded the centering pins to 3/8" grade 8.

Gun drilled the shackle and main-eye bolts for greasing

All springs are on the frame.

The axles are bolted in place! \:D/

Currently tweaking the pumpkin side u-bolt plate-- a bit of shimming & trickery is going on there... :-$
