FLoor detail-- lots & lots of little welds stacked next to each other... that patch of rusty nightmare on the left is coming out. The rest is surface rust.

the body is gonna need a bit more time. It is amazing how accessible everything is with it off the frame (duh). Gonna patch some stuff up that's been needin' attention, for years.

    • Yeah, when it's off, you do keep finding areas that need attention.

      • Now is definitely the time. With the chassis looking that awesome, how can you NOT pay some attention to the body? After all, you ARE going to daily drive this rig, right? ;)

        • Thanks for the support guys-- I want-like-hell to get this thing done, but taking the time to do it right seems important. In the past it has always been: Get-it-done-so-we-can-go-wheelin'!

Yep, that's the ball I keep juggling with different areas on the Kaiser. Some areas I can get away with but others need the extra attention, so they don't/won't have to be addressed later after it all should be done....

                • Peter- looking great, Mach speed on wrapping up the body as it is so easy off the frame, You'll kick yourself if you don't do it know, then get it all together and you're good until linking the front... keep it going

This AM's rust-o-ration. Unfortunately the "J" in "Jeep" had to come out. Oh well, a stick-on "J" will make up for it.

Also looking to upgrade the blower motor at this point. I am SOOOO grateful to the AMC engineer who designed the heater-box to be removed without having to remove the dash! 4 bolts & it slides right out... :D

                        • Yeah I miss having the mornings to work on projects. My position changed so no longer sitting around the house till 9:30am. You have so much more energy in the beginning of the day.
