        It went well-- grinding out the OEM spot welds was the tricky part.



        Got it all back together last night-- ready to start fabbin' the rear floor! :D

            That's the plan. There isn't a whole lotta pitch to work with, so we'll see how well it works. I've modified the OEM filler mount to give me a little more room.

            • Peter, what did you use to seal the tank? I need to seal up mine after installing fuel cell ring.

                The seals are the ones that came with it. The black round flange, that came mounted on the tank, has a thin neoprene gasket & the OEM Jeep sending unit has a thick neoprene gasket.

                Inner tube will work pretty well, too. Please let me know if you can get your hands on some neoprene gasket stock.

                • Dam, no gaskets with mine.

                  Local plumbing supply only carries red rubber , but they gave info on a place in Elizabeth that should have neoprean. What thickness do you need? hard or soft ?
