.. I was reading the Comanche club forum and they were talking about you think it was a while back though. lol

RIch, I haven't really addressed it.

    Wow, I'm famous! :p

finally got the camera in the garage tonight.

First things first-- this is a tight little garage to begin with. Storing an early CJ-5 frame along the wall basicly made it so that I had access to only one side of the Jeep, when it was in the garage. If I was to work on this thing this winter. I needed to be inside & have full access. Taking a cue from Dan, I hung the frame on the ceiling.

this freed up wall space & allowed for more organization. Need a driveshaft?

rear floor & fender wells are done. Upper shock doghouses are almost finished. I will be able to weld the 'roofs' on when I pull the body back off the frame.

    • With the rear floor done, the trans cover is the last major piece of bodywork to do before pulling it back off the frame.

Here are a few process photos of making covers-- again, inspired by Dan.

      Floor ring welded together

      drilling holes...

a few details of the finished fuel cell cover-- made the same way

          • Very Nice Pete! Like the dog houses and the Fuel Cell under the Jeep. Makes room for that single back seat you need.

I've never had issues with it. Using anti-sieze in everything may have prevented that.

                  What issues/sucks have you had?

                  • Trans cover done. Working on the twin stick/front driveshaft access pannel.

No ludicrus speed here. It is amazing how much time goes into sheet metal work.
