It is just as tight on the exhaust size.

That's not bad, it looks much worse. Some tight bends on mandrel bent pipe should be close and need minimal modifications. I am sure whatever you come up with will work well and look great in the end.
If you cut the factory mount off the frame and ran a couple tabs on the frame and a new block plate you could gain some serious room. That factory mount looks to be very high, lower it 4 or 5 inches and you have all the room you need.
What size is the inlet, 2 1/2"? Is that the outlet pipe on the exhaust side? Also doesn't look to large, shouldn't be to bad to work with.Pete

yeah-- I was thinking the same thing. The motor mount also interferes, a hair, with the steering shaft. Two birds with one stone will be great.
The exhaust is 2.5 OD. The inlet is about the same. I know 3" OD tube fits right over it.
Fun fun!
I have to go with an external hydro clutch setup-- the OEM mechanical linkage is very much in the way. Ordered premium master & slave cylinders from Read NAPA this AM.
