Thanks again Chris! I will not need all of it. I'll get the rest of it back to you.
Despite the lack of updates, I have been working on paint prep daily. Thanks to a day off, I got the tub mostly stripped on the 19th. Lots of welding holes up, finishing up little odds & ends, welding in a few surprise rust holes, etc. A bonus was spending a little time metal bumping on the tailgate brought it back from the scrap pile.
The past few nights have been spent fabbing a better mount for the Tuffy box and making/locating/welding in seat belt tabs. Last thing will be the crossbar for the shoulder harnesses. Going to upgrade seatbelts to a pair of Corbeau auto retracting 3 point 4 strap harnesses.
The gallon of white Pettit Easypoxy came in on Friday. Waiting on the Corroless from Norway.

Got a bit of cage work in last night and today. Huge thanks to my Dad for lending a hand!
Got a shoulder harness bar in.
Before
During
Works great, after a little mod to keep it from crushing the tube
Done
After seeing what happened to the cage on Too Twisted at KOH, I got motivated to finally get some gussets in.
I am on the fence regarding door bars. My reservation is that I might end up slamming my elbow into it, all the time. I hit the door jamb as it is now.
Either way all of the little stuff is done and sending for primer is the next step. The plan is to have the body on by this time next week.

I would do like daves bolt and a pin so you can open it, or like the cage I just sold they were done on tube clamps so they can always be removed

HUGE thanks to Alvin, he stopped by and stayed late last night to help me get ready for today. We sanded the firewall & cowl , vacuumed/blew out the tub, and then wiped down the entire tub with prep solvent.
HUGE thanks to Vasyl. Got a coat of primer and the first top coat on today.
First was the underside.
Corroless Beige Primer
Whiteout!
