That flexed rear still looks close in the back, you maxed on bump stops so no touchy?
Looking forward to seeing this beast.

Dynosheet from last Thursday. The green & red lines are the turbo pulls. The single blue lines are the naturally aspirated pulls from years ago. This was at 6PSI of boost on 92 octane

well, needless to say, THe Barnacle made it to BLB2013 an back. It got 16MPG on the way there, with the 'street' tires an about 14MPG home, with the 37's. It easily held 70MPH on the hills, with power to spare. Mission accomplished!
Posing in Trout Lake
some late night shop work at Randys, after the first day on the trail. One of the lower JohnnyJoints' retaining rings popped out (my bad) and the crank case breather needed to be plumbed into the the intake piping (it stank!)
Awesome, congratulations on a job more than well done!!!
How did it do in the trails?
thanks guys. It sure feels great, almost can't believe it is on the road. I am not sure what to do with myself now. Gonna have to go back to work. :)
Pete-- it was excellent on the trails. Crawling and simple trail cruising it is totally transparent. The turbo kicks in only when it is needed-- high RPM climbs/launches and man does it sound good, with power to spare!
Where it really shines is on the road, which is exactly why I went with it. No more strugglin' up long & steep interstate hills getting single digit MPG numbers. It is a pleasure to drive it at 70MPH with the 37's. Need to pass someone, just give it a little more throttle-- just like a diesel.

Also had the oppurtunity to wheel it at The Cabin last weekend-- it did great. However, I was unable to make Rock & A Hard Place. Next time!
making friends in South Carolina!
The front ARB has been acting up - leaks sporadically. There is also gear oil leaking out of the drivers front tube-- so I need to go in & do alittle investigating. Hopefully it is something as simple as loose bearing caps!!
